"I approached Nicole DeLorey seven years ago after hearing from several colleagues they were very happy with their experience working with her. Being a male ballet dancer, I have struggles with back spasms and general muscle tightness. In the earlier years of my career I was able to manage these setbacks with massage and physical therapy, but as my schedule became more intense so did the level of pain and discomfort. Acupuncture with Nicole has been the most beneficial method of maintaining a healthy body. Nicole is an extremely knowledgeable acupuncturist and seems to know exactly what spots to needle without even asking. In addition, she is very understanding and gives you a sense that you’re working together as a team. "After about 4 1/2 years of sever back pain, endless Doctors, physios, chiropractors, massages and costly spiral release work, Nicole was recommended to me by a friend after a doctor suggested an epidural. I had tried acupuncture on two occasions without much affect, so was dubious, but feeling somewhat desperate. I figured it couldn’t hurt. From the get go having explained my issues and when they had started, Nicole seemed to understand with complete clarity what was happening in my body and how and why, and had such a confidence that she could help, I knew I was dealing with a new level of competence. In that very first session she reached muscles that had been locked up without release for years, and brought me relief that I had long since given up on ever having. She was so thorough and found every exact point of pain and tension, I was drooling! In all honesty I went home after that first time and cried, as I had known pain and immobility in that area for so long, and was resigned to a future with that pain. Over the course of the next few weeks she released muscles that were deeply locked into spasm, and created movement and space throughout my back and hips, every time giving me such acute attention, so present, aware and thorough, varying techniques and approaches to further undo muscular reactions to my structural damage. I have since referred her to everyone I ever meet with any sort of issue, physical to emotional, and am always receiving rave feedback from people who are blown away with by both her presence and confidence in her work, and the results that they see. I often joke that Nicole has become my answer to everything, she is a true healer, with an east to west intellect and true passion for the body.
